Is it possible to be this hyped? I had probably the best day of my life on Sunday. We started the day by taking the ferry from Batam back to Singapore and checked in our hotel. After some burgers (yes, we had two burgers in one day) it was time to change clothers and head for the circuit area.
We got there approximately at 3pm and didn't have to queue at all. We strolled around for a couple of hours, had some burgers and at 5pm we had to go get good places for the drivers' parade and the race. Race was about to start at 8pm so we had to wait three hours - it was definitely worth it. The race was unbelieveably great and phenomenal. We strolled around the circuit during the race and saw the cars from many different angles. The evening ended with a Bon Jovi gig at the big stage. What a great show!
Even though the event was well organised and the race was amazing, it's true when they say that Formula 1 is better watched from the TV. I know that I have to go see another GP still in my life but for now I'll stick to watching it from the TV ;-)

Onko mahdollista hypettää näin paljon? Mulla oli ehkä elämäni paras päivä sunnuntaina. Aloitettiin aamu aikaisin ja mentiin lautalla Batamilta Singaporeen. Sporesssa tsekkaus hotellista ja burgerilounaalle (joo, syötiin päivän aikana kahdet burgerit...) Sitten olikin aika lähteä kohti rataa.
Paikanpäälle päästiin kolmen aikaan iltapäivällä, eikä jonoa alueelle ollut lainkaan. Pari tuntia alueella kiertelyä ja taas uudet burgerit, kunnes viideltä mentiin ottamaan hyvät paikat radan vierestä kuljettajien paraatia ja itse kisaa varten. Kisa alkoi kasilta ja meidän piti siis odottaa kolmisen tuntia paikallaan... Todellakin sen arvoista, kisa oli ihan uskomaton! Kisan ajan kuitenkin kierreltiin loppupeleissä eri paikoissa rataa ja nähtiin autot monesta eri näkökulmasta. Ilta päättyi muuten Bon Jovin keikkaan isolla lavalla. Ihan uskomaton päivä ja show!
Vaikka päivä olikin unohtumaton, täytyy myöntää että F1 todella on telkkarilaji. Vaikka tiedän, että toistekin sinne on päästävä, voisin nyt hetken pysytellä telkun äärellä ;-)
